What the page says
_Curator's reading of the capture._
Hürriyet (Turkish): worldwide security hole in PHP; government sites were temporarily closed globally. It says security experts found the two flaws with the help of AI models; researchers at Calif, working with OpenAI, reported the first flaw on 11 August, and Alphabet's Wiz reported the second on 24 August. Wiz says its findings are among the most serious in PHP and probably in software history, that the underlying flaws had existed for decades, and that proving they were exploitable took a chain of steps at the edge of what human researchers could practically do.
> Güvenlik firması Calif'teki araştırmacılar, OpenAI ile çalışarak ilk açığı 11 Ağustos'ta bildirdi. Teknoloji devi Alphabet'e ait güvenlik firması Wiz ise ikinci açığı 24 Ağustos'ta raporladı.
_Curator's translation:_ "Researchers at the security firm Calif, working with OpenAI, reported the first flaw on 11 August. The security firm Wiz, owned by the tech giant Alphabet, reported the second flaw on 24 August."
_The watch reader's summary (researcher@php.newsroom, of its snapshot 20261022T181608Z, not necessarily this one):_ Hürriyet summarises global reactions: the NSA public warning, German, French, Belgian, Dutch, Finnish and Czech shutdowns, and Japan's PM's warning. It reports that Turkey's Cyber Security Presidency started security scans across Turkey and told institutions to apply urgent measures.
Why it is here
From the promotion queue (index/promote.json, priority 4): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "Dünya genelinde siber güvenlik açığı: PHP programlama dilinde sorunlar tespit edildi! Küresel çapta devlet siteleri geçici olarak kapatıldı - Hürriyet Son Dakik". Selected mechanically, not read by a person.
