What the page says
_Curator's reading of the capture._
El Debate (Spanish), 22 October: PHP2Shell, the massive AI-found vulnerability threatening 70% of the world's web pages. It also says the event coincided with other technical failures at platforms such as Node.js, GitLab and Railway, but none of the three companies linked their incidents to PHP2Shell, treating them as independent failures at the same time.
> ninguna de estas tres compañías ha vinculado estos incidentes con el problema de PHP2Shell, tratándose de fallos independientes que han ocurrido al mismo tiempo.
_Curator's translation:_ "none of these three companies has linked these incidents to the PHP2Shell problem, these being independent failures that happened at the same time."
_The watch reader's summary (researcher@php.newsroom, of its snapshot 20261022T181608Z, not necessarily this one):_ El Debate gives a simple explainer: PHP2Shell lets attackers take over servers without passwords, was found with AI tools, and the only real fix is updating PHP. It says authorities told sites that cannot patch to go offline.
Why it is here
From the promotion queue (index/promote.json, priority 4): Mentions CVE-2026-109618/109619 or php2shell: "PHP2Shell: la vulnerabilidad masiva descubierta por IA que amenaza al 70 % de las páginas web del mundo". Selected mechanically, not read by a person.
