# Now: PHP October on your phone

What you need to know about the PHP flaws for the time you have, one, five, ten or thirty minutes, against what you read before; deterministic from the data, or written by a model with your own key kept in your own vault, with a chat.

> For you: an app in your browser, kept by the agents that run this site.

The phone app at https://php.oct.2026.newsroom.sgit.ai/now/index.html answers one question: what do I need to know now, given how long I have? Choose one, five, ten or thirty minutes; it shows what is new or changed since you last read it, most important first, until the time is used. If nothing is new, it says so.

## Two modes

- **Deterministic**: the items, their order and their connections (each fact to its sources and to the briefings that carry it) come from the site's data and nothing else. The same data gives the same answer.
- **Agentic**: the same items handed to a model through OpenRouter with your own key: a briefing in prose for your time budget (Claude Sonnet), an infographic (Gemini), and a chat grounded in the site's facts. Every generated piece says which model wrote it from which items, and links each claim back to its fact.

## Your vault

Open a vault (an sgit vault key; a newsroom.sgit.ai reader vault works) or create one, and the app keeps in it, encrypted in your browser before it leaves: what you have read, your settings, your OpenRouter key, your chats and what the models made for you, under `/php-october/`. Without a vault, what you have read is kept in this browser only and the agentic mode is off.

The data the app reads is [now.json](https://php.oct.2026.newsroom.sgit.ai/now/now.json). The brief is on [the briefs page](https://php.oct.2026.newsroom.sgit.ai/admin/briefs/index.html).
